first week of proper cinema shifts…
is next week. cinema week starts on fridays as that is when we have the majority of films released. this week’s shifts are training shifts.
so I’ve got the close on Friday, the opening night of Bond. it’s a recipe for disaster. normally on weekends, we’ll be quietly busy nearing midnight but with Bond, I fully expect it to be sold out for all shows which means at midnight, it’s still gonna be heaving. not looking forward to it.
I’m also back to work in the office that week and I have a close Wed as well as a 6-10.30 on the Thurs. which means I’ll be up at 7am on the Wed, in from work about 1am, back up at 7am on Thu and home about 11. so about 28hrs of work in a 48hr period. STOKED.
That will be the test to see how I can cope with this. it’s fine saying “yeah I’ll be fine” but the proof is in doing.
