I really need to get myself into shape for a few reasons.
1) simply to be in better health. I’m not depressed about my body weight and feel down all day. but it does get me down sometimes, when I try on a nice shirt and it doesn’t fit etc. lowering cholesterol and all that shit as well would probably be good for me too.
2) I have Ash and Martin’s wedding in August and I have a fitting on the 9th of August. Now, I’d have to do a helluva lot of exercising/dieting to lose the weight I want to in that short period of time. In fact, I’d probably have to starve myself for the full two months. but losing a little would make me feel good.
3) one of the boys in work has been asking me along to his football team for a while now and although I can cut it at 5’s (and probably one of the better players there), I’m not in good enough shape for training and then 11-a-side games every week. I’d be ok for the first half and then out on my legs for the rest.
so these are all targets to keep in mind. I WILL get there.
